Felix is a catboat built by Stur-dee Boat Company in 1981 in Tiverton, RI. Her hull number is 120 and I purchased her from her original owner in Essex, MA. She is 14'4" long with a beam of 7'. Quite a change from Lyric's 22'7" LOA, but truly a finer craft. Catboats have one sail which makes the sailing experience much simpler. There is alot of woodwork surrounding the cockpit that was painted with white paint by the previous owner. Winter 2005's tasks include removing and replacing all that painted woodwork with natural oiled oak and mahogany. She's a beauty now, but will be stunning come spring time. Check back in here in the winter for updates. I have stripped and refinished the mahogany benches with Cetol Marine Light,and they came out pretty nice. Looking forward to her being safe and sound in my new house next winter for lots of restoration work....for now, it's time to sail.
